Not recommended so much for readers of serious military fiction, who want just a side of romance. Recommended mostly for readers of romance who enjoy books similar to Jessica Scott, another author who’s seen military action and writes authentically. (Note: This did not affect my rating at all!) I did smile at who the baddies turned out to be, but also found it highly implausible. Written in first-person, present-tense, the real highlight of this book came towards the end where the action kicked into top gear. The romance between the main characters happened fairly quickly. For me, this one was too much like any other romance novel I’ve ever read, albeit the military details came across with authority. However, I was hoping for more Clancy and less Hannah. Kristin Hannah meets Tom Clancy.and that’s pretty accurate. Where this was a bit disappointing was in the romance. What she does well here in Hover.and she should.is the military descriptions, the details of navy life. Many thanks to my local library for getting it in.Īccording to Ms Wilson's author biography she was an active-duty navy helicopter pilot. I could probably name only two or three longtime favourite authors I'd be willing to pay that price for. $11.99 for the Kindle e-book is way too much for a debut author.

Yet another book I'd love to read, but won't be able to because of the excessive price.
